Shining Inheritance

GMA 7 aired Shining Inheritance last year and the dubbing was not that great. Hwan's (or Juan's) voice sounded mad all the time. I think they recycled Arthur's voice from Coffee Prince. Anywho, the point is that the character sounded awful! How could they do this to my beloved Seunggi?! FYI, Lee Seunggi, who played the male lead role, is a famous ballad singer from Korea, ergo has a very nice voice. And yes I love him to the moon and back.


It's a good thing the production decided not to dub the part where Hwan was singing during a night out with friends. The song he sang, I'll Cry Out, was from his 2nd album Crazy For You.

How I wish I started this blog earlier and provided an episode by episode review of GMA7's version versus the original. They cut out some parts and even altered some of the dialogues. This could've spared my family from my nonstop ranting, mainly because it's Seunggi. Owel, next time.
