Starbucks at Insadong

Not straying far from coffee, it was interesting to see this in Insadong.


Insadong is very much like our cobblestoned Calle Crisologo in Vigan. It pretty much showcases Korean history and culture. So imagine how the people reacted when the government approved the opening of a foreign coffee shop in that same street. As a compromise, Starbucks agreed to write the store's name in Hangeul - a first in Starbuck's history.
